Initiated the Khomyn Tal reintroduction project in 1999. Based on 8000+ hours watching equid behavior for 30 years, published international peer-reviewed articles on Behavioral Ecology of
Camargue horses, Equus ferus ferus, Khulan Equus hemionus and Przewalski’s horses Equus ferus przewalskii. For ten years, Deputy chairman of the Equid Specialist Group IUCN, currently a member.
Obtained research grants from ICSU (International Council of Scientific Unions), ‘National Geographic’ and ‘Basel Foundation for Biology’, in addition to a ‘Rolex Award for Enterprise’ for her project ‘The Wild Horse Mesh’, bridging conservation and science with local herder knowledge. Initiator and founder of the ‘Association pour le cheval de Przewalski : TAKH’ and one of KTT’s founders in 2014.
