Now that Khomyn Tal has officially become a National Park, permanent signs have been placed in five entry points (Tsagaan Ovoo in Ikh Buural, Zavkhan river bridge, Teel river bridge, Khooloi bridge, south west of Undor Elst mountain, and southern entrance of the reintroduction enclosure). Also, the fenced acclimatization area is to be demarcated as the core zone, the zone with strictest limitations and four signs with respective rules and regulations have been placed at entry and exit.
Khomyn Tal was taken under state protection in May 2020. A territory of 411, 403.80ha comprised of Seeriin Nuruu mountain range (reintroduction enclosure), Khomyn Tal, Zavkhan river, Ulaan Buraa (sea buckthorn forest along Zavkhan river), Ikh and Baga Buural mountain ranges was designated as a National Park.
